No Escape
Can you allow units to travel through friendly buildings more easily? This may subtract four hours from every game played. Trying to compact defenses on an island causes the units to have much trouble traveling, but if defenses weren't there, goodbye island. Placing a repair bay only to destroy buildings to move a unit seems like too much only to move a unit.
Game Speed Option
Some games on impossible mode require many hours to complete. It becomes repetitive. Build nukes, then launch them. Build more nukes, then launch them. Can you add an option in the settings menu that allows the player to adjust the game speed?
Day/Night Cycle
You have the same time of day, every day. You are seeing the same textures every hour you play. Adding this would allow the textures to feel less repetitive and cause the time of day to feel less repetitive. Every time you look at your base, you see the same base every time. Would this be too hard? All of those texture changes do not seem very easy, so just an idea if it is possible.
Possible Completion
The game does not indicate the completion of a level. When you finally complete a level that you worked very hard to complete, you do not get anything from it. Can you add something that could show completion of missions for each difficulty? For example, tanks (they seem to match the game.) Very easy mode gives a wooden tank, easy gives a stone tank, impossible gives a diamond tank. Completion of a level in a higher difficulty should also give the trophies for lower difficulties. Impossible mode could give all of the tanks from every mode and hard can give the tanks from the difficulties hard or lower. The tanks could show inside the level in the level selection menu. This could also work in challenge or custom maps. No, these tanks are not really rewards you could use in the levels, but they are indicators that you have completed a level.
Invisible Unit Carrier
It could have a decent amount of health (maybe little less than a mammoth tank), but could only be destroyed while on land and invisible in the air. This could allow skipping 400 turrets much easier and cause players to be more defensive for the internal part of their base instead of placing 400 turrets far from the internal part of the base and few near it (Ex. a large island when the player places turrets on the corners or sides only when the extractors are in the center.) It could be experimental.
Tutorial Level
The help menu shows mainly controls. Why can you not create a tutorial level that indicates what structures do and how to use those?
Rapid-fire Units
Most units attack around the same speed or slower. Can you add units that attack quickly, but maybe do less damage?

You've got a nice ideas there! :D But if you want to make a Rapid-Fire unit you can edit some units .UNI files.
